75 Percent of Mercy in Indonesia Work by Indigenous Hands

Jakarta - Mercedes-Benz became one fairly seasoned European brands in Indonesia. In fact, consumer demand pushed the manufacturer's logo three pointed stars assembles several models in this country.

"We are pleased to inform you that more than 75 percent of Mercedes-Benz vehicles were sold in Indonesia are assembled in the country," said Dr. Claus Weidner, President and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Indonesia, during the launch of CLA 45 AMG, which was written on Tuesday (05/05/2015).

Explained, vehicle models assembled in the Mercedes-Benz manufacturing in Wanaherang, Bogor, among others, the C-Class, E-Class, S-Class, M-Class, GL-Class, and bus chassis in the commercial vehicle category. For type SUV, the M Class began assembled in 2012, followed by the GL Class models which assembled in Wanaherang, began in 2013.

The manufacturing assembly in Wanaherang MBI has an area of 4.2 hectares and has fulfilled the Eco-industry certification from TUV Rheiland. Manufacturing has been assembling vehicles since 45 years ago.

To market its products, MBI supported 26 dealer network spread all over Indonesia. Furthermore, MBI will continue to increase the number of its dealers in Indonesia.

"We will continue efforts on an ongoing basis in order to keep the business running," said Weidner.
